Our Story
From a humble saree shop in pre-independence Kolkata to a trusted name in India’s textile industry, Vandana Saree is built on legacy, resilience, and vision.
Founded by Shri Govind Ram Ji Lohia, a first-generation entrepreneur, the journey began with a deep understanding of fabrics and customer relationships. Under the leadership of Shri Narayan Prasad Lohia, Shri Ram Kumar Lohia, and Late Shri Krishan Kumar Lohia, the business expanded steadily, earning trust across markets.
1992 – Corporate Transformation
A defining milestone came when the business transformed into a corporate entity under N R Design Centre Private Limited. This laid the foundation for scale, innovation, and manufacturing excellence.
1998 – Manufacturing Expansion
Establishment of the first production facility in Hooghly marked the beginning of in-house cotton saree manufacturing.
2004 – New Generation Growth
With the induction of Shri Prabhu Lohia and Shri Gyanesh Lohia, the company entered a new phase of growth, significantly scaling production capabilities.

Today, with a 39,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Kolkata and a production capacity of 3,000 printed sarees per day, we continue to blend tradition with modern efficiency—serving businesses across India and beyond.
